Urban Atölye is an experimentaldesign & makeworkshop in Istanbul's Maslak Oto Sanayi, a unique dynamic district where craftsmanship and creativedesign, materials, and production techniques converge. Founded by Nilüfer Kozikoğlu in 2009, the workshop blends digital processes with traditional craftsmanship, evolving from academic sessions with architecture students into a cutting-edge lab. Design to Produce, Produce to Design,the guiding motto at Urban Atölye, where innovation thrives through the fusion of raw and processed materials, technology and craftsmanship, organic and synthetic methods. As a keen partner in creative endeavors, Urban Atölye is an active participant in installations, exhibitions, and various artistic events. Nilüfer Kozikoğlu, is an architect majored in Istanbul and earned her advanced degree from the Architectural Association (AA) in London. She is the founder of Urban Atölye and Tuşpa Architectural Office.
