Founded in 2015 by Yeşim Eröktem and Doğanberk Demir, AVLU is an Istanbul-based contemporary design brand producing furniture and home objects. Rooted in Istanbul’s and Tu¨rkiye’s rich material culture, the brand places local craftsmanship at the center of its design approach, translating this heritage into contemporary, refined, and accessible products through close collaboration with local artisans. One of the brand’s signature designs, the Volume coffee table series, was featured as an iconic work in Woman Made: Great Women Designers, published in October 2021, bringing international visibility to Avlu's design practice.
