The Ministry of Trade has released a data bulletin based on preliminary foreign trade statistics for the month of July.

According to the data prepared based on the General Trade System (GTS), exports increased by 8.4% in July compared to the same month last year, reaching 20 billion 93 million dollars, while imports rose by 11.1% to 32 billion 476 million dollars.

The foreign trade volume increased by 10% last month, reaching 52 billion 569 million dollars. During this period, the foreign trade deficit increased by 15.7%, reaching 12 billion 383 million dollars.

The export-to-import ratio decreased by 1.5 points on an annual basis in July, standing at 61.9%. When excluding energy data, it decreased by 9.7 points to 68.8%, and excluding energy and gold data, it decreased by 9.6 points to 75.5%.

During the January-July period, exports decreased by 0.6% compared to the same period last year, totaling 143 billion 435 million dollars. Imports, on the other hand, were determined as 217 billion 52 million dollars, increasing by 5.1%.

During this period, the foreign trade volume reached 360 billion 487 million dollars, increasing by 2.8%. The foreign trade deficit during the January-July period increased by 18.2%, reaching 73 billion 618 million dollars. The export-to-import ratio for the same period was calculated as 66.1%.
